On 20 July 2022 the Deputy Secretary of Defense established the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, succeeding the UAP Task Force and AOIMSG, with physicist Sean Kirkpatrick as its first director, to detect, identify and attribute anomalous objects across air, sea, space and transmedium domains.
