Method
UAP Record is a map-first knowledge base of unidentified anomalous phenomena reports: the places, events, footage, craft types, being types, people and documents that recur in the reporting, each written up as what was said, by whom, when, and how well it holds up.
What this site is
The spine is the map: every site, event and piece of footage with a location is a pin, coloured by layer, filterable by who reported it, which craft or being or person is involved, the evidence band and the year. A pin opens a dossier listing the claims made about that place, each with its class and band and the person who made it. Clicking any of those leads to the record page, and every record page links back to the map filtered to itself.
Records: 19 crafts, 20 beings, 71 sites, 80 events, 194 people, 114 documents, 18 footage. Each carries at least one source: a verbatim passage from the corpus with its timestamp, or a published document with a URL and a date.
The corpus is the American Alchemy channel (Jesse Michels): 136 episodes across 172 uploads, 362.1 hours, 3,724,670 words of machine captions, readable under /corpus/. Uploads are not episodes: the channel publishes an early members' cut and a public cut of many interviews, so every count on this site is given per episode with the uploads named. The 172-upload figure is not 172 episodes.
How a record is written
Testimony is reported as testimony. "Lazar says he worked at S-4" is a fact about what Lazar said and a speculation about the world, and it is written and classed as the former. No record asserts that a craft or a being exists; it describes the reports, names the reporter, and states the evidence band. Contested and thin claims stay visibly marked; the interface never flattens a band.
Claim classes
- FACT
- Checkable against a record that exists independently of the speaker's testimony: a document, a published paper, a court filing, a confirmed job title, a dated event. "The AATIP program was funded through a DIA line item" is a candidate FACT.
- INFERENCE
- A conclusion someone draws from facts, including a good one. "The funding pattern implies a successor program still exists" is INFERENCE even when the reasoning is sound.
- SPECULATION
- Asserted without a checkable basis, or unfalsifiable as stated. "They are interdimensional and have been guiding us for millennia" is SPECULATION regardless of sincerity.
A witness's account of their own experience is a FACT about the testimony and a SPECULATION about the world. The record encodes the former, never the latter dressed as fact.
Evidence bands
Legacy graph scores, not newly audited photo-authentication probabilities. The source-aware review below is a separate, narrower pilot. Its components do not silently replace these historical graph fields.
Every claim in the underlying graph carries a Claim Confidence Score, 0–100, summed from eight components a reader can disagree with one at a time: proximity to the source (0–30), independent corroboration (0–20), verifiability of the identifier (0–15), falsifiability (0–10), the speaker's track record (−10 to 10), physical evidence (0–15), consistency across the corpus (−15 to 10) and penalties for hoax links, incentives, retractions and broken custody (−30 to 0). The score maps to a band:

A high band is not "true". It means the claim is defensible in writing to an editor. A record inherits the band of its best-supported claim; a record without one shows "no band".
Coordinates
Every pin carries a precision. exact is a known point. approximate is a pin with a faint ring: the place is known, the point within it is not, or the location rests on testimony. region is drawn as a circle with no pin: a sea area, a range, a claimed site whose location is itself a claim. Each site also states why the pin is where it is.
What is masked
Nothing personal. The site carries no private individual's data beyond what they said publicly on the channel or in the cited published record. Names appear as they were said on air; people are listed with a public role and a status that says whether the person and the stated position are independently confirmed. Media rights are item-specific: government works, attributed source excerpts, linked recordings and explicitly labelled illustrations have different rights. Third-party source excerpts are not relicensed under a dataset CC BY label.
Source-aware assessment · v2 pilot
The Jorjani photo review separates source research usefulness, photographic examination and event corroboration. Specificity, context and demonstrated access receive explicit, cited consideration. Six editorial components use 0–2 points each; unknown components stay visible. These are not probability estimates or universal personal credibility ratings. Every non-unresolved examination result requires an identified artifact, cited basis, matched methods and explicit scope. Reposts do not become independent observations. Other records have not been globally rescored under this pilot.

Archive
Archive: the 2026 Anomaly Atlas and Evidence Control Room are kept offline. This site replaces both: the atlas's places became the sites layer here, and the control room's graph became the records and their bands.
