A daylight photograph taken near Calvine, Scotland on 4 August 1990, reported to show a large diamond-shaped object with a military jet in frame. The Daily Record received the photographs but did not print them; the MoD kept the file closed. One print was made public in 2022. The corpus does not discuss it.

Official statusThe UK Ministry of Defence said in 1990s files that the object was 'probably a hoax' or unexplained, withheld the original negatives, and extended the file's closure to 2072 before the copy print surfaced in 2022.
