Christopher Mellon

Christopher Mellon served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence under Presidents Clinton and George W. Bush and as minority staff director of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. After leaving government he became an advisor to To The Stars Academy and, by his own account, obtained and passed to the New York Times the three Navy videos published in December 2017. He has since worked with congressional staff on the UAP provisions in successive National Defense Authorization Acts.

Mellon's public record is documented and his role in the 2017 disclosure is confirmed by the journalists involved. He argues that the government has failed to take the reports seriously and that witnesses like David Grusch deserve a hearing; he has said he believes retrieval programmes may exist but has not claimed first-hand knowledge.
