Travis Walton disappearance (Snowflake, Arizona)

What was reported. Driving out of the Apache-Sitgreaves forest at dusk on 5 November 1975, a seven-man thinning crew said they saw a glowing disc above a clearing; Walton walked under it, was thrown back by a beam, and the others fled. Returning, they found nothing. Walton reappeared on 10 November near Heber and described waking on a table among short large-eyed beings and later meeting human-looking figures. What followed. The crew were suspects in a possible homicide until Walton returned. Polygraphs arranged by the sheriff cleared five of six; Walton's own tests are disputed. The 1993 film "Fire in the Sky" dramatised the case. (FACT.)
