Editorial corrections

What not to conflate

Open the detailed attribution notes
  • Remove universal 1–1.2 m height, telepathy, ammonia, absent teeth and absent genitalia unless attached to an individual source.
  • The Bellero Shield aired on ABC in February 1964, not eleven days before the September 1961 encounter. An influence hypothesis concerns later recall and additionally requires evidence of viewing.
  • ABOP8ZJsyIk 0:01:39–0:04:17 contains interviewer praise for Communion followed by Strieber’s response about the eyes; the entire block is not Strieber speaking.
  • 1sxmSMzqnmA 1:49 onward: Buchanan describes lying down, immobility and a transition he calls waking in another room. Preserve these conditions without diagnosing him. Eye-level while kneeling is not a measured one-metre stature.
  • CiQTBOQ1dTg presents Alberino’s clone/mantid and skin-waste interpretations, not anatomical findings. LpLFWdsIU7M explicitly gives the Navy genetic-collection story low weight as apocryphal.
  • Michels’s edited introductions in fzvwBBSmWYA are not automatically Hastings testimony. Jorjani, Hall, Gerb and Masters passages have distinct speculative or hearsay status.
  • QgxjtDS2sIQ uses 1965 within Hall’s travel inference, not as a verified first Grey sighting. A2-y_HasHEw’s Hill star-map example is presenter argument, not an authenticated origin identification.
  • The 8Rr_nE65KkI conversation corrects a Hopkins/Strieber book mix-up; retain that correction. RBd8nnoWHDU distinguishes Fire in the Sky dramatization from Walton’s account.

Where to go deeper

  1. Obtain the original 1961 Webb report and dated 1964 sessions for a description chronology.
  2. Review earliest Ariel interviews, drawings and unedited BBC material before witness-by-witness claims.
  3. Keep Strieber and Buchanan as future source-specific profiles rather than adding their traits to Walton or Ariel.

The visual record

Illustrations, recordings and archival references — each with its own provenance. A documented source is a starting point for investigation, not a verdict on its explanation.

AI illustration · Walton’s account

Walton — the beings he describes

Brown irises, ivory-like skin and orange-brown clothing follow Walton’s own text, not the film. Room geometry, exact faces and footwear detail are interpretive; hand overlap prevents checking every digit. Not a photograph.

UAP Record · source-specific interpretation ↗Original AI illustration; not documentary evidence.
Museum exhibit · context, interpretation not evidence

Grey figure, International UFO Museum, Roswell

A museum figure built to a popular description — small body, large head and black eyes. This exhibit documents a cultural representation, not a reported encounter or the appearance in every Grey account.
