Karl Nell

Karl Nell is a retired US Army colonel who served in intelligence roles, was the Army's liaison to the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, and afterwards worked in the aerospace industry. He came to public notice in 2023 when David Grusch named him as a colleague who could speak to his character, and in May 2024, at the SALT conference in New York, he said there was 'zero doubt' that non-human intelligence had interacted with humanity and that some in government had known for decades.

Nell's service record is documented. His statement is a personal assertion of certainty and he has not described the evidence behind it, saying he is bound by his clearances. AARO's 2024 report reached the opposite conclusion about the government's records. He has since worked on proposals for a controlled disclosure process and appears at conferences and in podcasts.

The corpus interviews Nell once, alongside Diana Pasulka, in an episode about biblical and angelic interpretations of the phenomenon, and mentions him in several others as one of the officers who stood behind Grusch.
