Bob Lazar S-4 claims (1989)

What was reported. Lazar said that from late 1988 he was flown from Las Vegas to Groom Lake and bused to S-4, where he read briefing documents and examined a disc he called the sport model, whose reactor used a stable isotope of element 115 to generate a gravity wave. He said he saw nine craft in hangars built into the mountainside. (FACT about the claim; SPECULATION about the world.)

What followed. Knapp broadcast the interviews on KLAS in 1989; Lazar's degrees from MIT and Caltech could not be verified, and Los Alamos denied employing him, although a 1982 phone directory and a newspaper article place him there. Element 115 (moscovium) was synthesised in 2003 but only in short-lived isotopes. A 2018 documentary by Jeremy Corbell renewed attention. (FACT.)
