Lazar came forward in 1989 through George Knapp's KLAS-TV reports, saying he had been hired to study the propulsion of a disc-shaped craft at a site called S-4 south of Area 51. His employment and academic records have never been confirmed by any institution. The corpus returns to his account repeatedly, both to defend and to test it.

Dr. Teller responded by telephone and told me that he was no longer active, but just functioned in a chief consultant capacity. He gave me the name of a contact to call in Las Vegas. I made that call and things progressed from there until I got into the program at S-4.
