Spheres run through the corpus more than any other shape. Mario Woods, a former Air Force security responder, says the 1977 object over a missile silo “was huge and it was a sphere”, with “an energy source that moved around it” like the boiling surface of the sun and “no tail sections”, “no wings”. The Allagash witnesses say their 1976 object was “still spherical” and “80 feet in diameter”, and describe a “neon blue” cone of light from its underside. Brandon Fugal says “You see orbs and spheres often around the mesa” at Skinwalker Ranch, sometimes passing through rock. Ross Coulthart relays a night watch in Australia where “up comes this beautiful golden orb, gigantic. It pulses.”
Military reporting adds texture. Ryan Graves says about half his squadron’s ready room raised their hands when asked who had seen the objects; a congressman relays a pilot’s description of “blacker than black sphere”; Jesse Michels notes that a 1940s memo already listed “metallic spheres, silver spheres, metallic spheres flying in formation, V-shaped formations” and that Eisenhower knew of the wartime “foo fighters”.
Explanations divide sharply. Sceptics point to balloons, drones and out-of-focus aircraft or planets; several guests propose plasma or ball lightning, which the corpus records under its own plasma record; some witnesses describe behaviour they read as controlled. Because spheres are reported across decades, by trained observers and in official summaries, the report pattern is well supported even though individual cases remain contested.
